Four years now are you still the fool

You were happy never to see her again
Yet you met
Now you can't leave her again
Yet you must

The reasons you gave when you separated
Are still valid now
The feelings you had when you separated
Are still present now

To follow your heart or your head
To realise and recognise
Emotion yet truly it has been said
It's hindered by your mind

The only one to whom
you would bare your soul
But she dosen't appreciate it
The only one with whom you would share your world
But she dosen't understand it

Have you read the letters wrong
Have you been grasping nothing but mist
Perhaps the strongest message lies
In that twice-forgotten gift

Once forgotten, twice the same
The third remembered yet still in vain
The past forgotten, the future remains
What must I do not
